The Foundation selectively encourages careful, distinguished interpretive exhibitions, catalogues and other media organized primarily by professional museums and educational institutions about Roy Lichtenstein and his relations to contemporary and modern art of the last half of the twentieth century. Institutionally sponsored programs that entail both long and short-term loans of objects may be further supported by research conducted by Foundation staff or our contract researchers, if necessary.
Our mandate is international and preference will be shown for creative, intelligent and responsible curatorial projects exhibiting new aspects of the artist's work and/or projects displaying Lichtenstein's art to important new and broader audiences.
